Hair: When Erin was born, what little hair she had was a soft mousy brown colour. As she grew older, her hair grew lighter, changing from the mousy brown colour to ‘Honey Blonde’ as her mother so fondly referred to it. Her hairstyle itself changed from a short bob, to a pixie cut, to just past her shoulders where it lies now. She likes to tie her hair back in various styles, depending what is on trend at the current time. She has never been one for out there bold colours or strange lop-sided cuts, much preferring to follow trends rather than to set them.
Eyes: Erin’s eyes are a light pearly grey colour. They always have been, just like her brother’s. Her mother always hoped that she would get her father’s beautiful sapphire eyes, but sadly Erin’s eyes remained the same grey. As Erin grew older and began to experiment with makeup, she quickly learnt to make a feature of her eyes, changing them from something forgettable, to something memorable.
Style: Erin has a taste for designer clothes. She loves spending money on cute dresses and matching shoes. Anything from shirts to skirts, Erin will have her eye on it. She is usually found sporting skinny jeans and an oversized tee, with some expensive earrings, or when the mood strikes her, one of her many day dresses. However, with her mother’s spending problems spiralling out of control, Erin has had to cut back on her spending, instead rewearing outfits when they come back into trend.
Distinguishing Marks: Erin has her ears pierced once, as she believes that multiple piercings look common. She has a long thin scar behind her left ear from an accident she had when she was three years old. The scar is just under three inches long and she always ensures it is hidden by her hair.

Likes:
Beautiful Things: “I love to surround muself with beautiful things, I mean, who doesn’t? There’s nothing wrong with appreciating something that has been crafted with such care. Yes they are often expensive, but who cares? I can afford it after all. Naturally I have to keep most of my things out of sight, I wouldn’t want any thieves getting any ideas after all. I only brought a handful of my things to Hogwarts. Most of my things are in the family vault. Well, that’s what I tell everyone. They’ve actually been sold off in an attempt to payback Mother’s debt.”
Beautiful People: “Beautiful people, yes. Well who doesn’t like looking at them? Beauty is very important in my opinion. I don’t have ugly friends. I surround myself with beautiful people, my dearest closest friends, lovers and others. Beautiful people get far in this world. That’s because first impressions count, no matter what some people might say. My Father taught me that. I want people to remember me as that stunning girl they couldn’t take their eyes off. Yes, I want to be that girl.”
Diamonds: “I love diamonds. Diamonds are a girl’s best friend. Everyone knows that. I used to have lots, ranging from rings to necklaces, but now I only have a small pendant necklace. I had to sell my earrings and rings so that we could pay back Mother’s debt. She keeps buying necklaces for me though, and that’s part of the problem. We can’t afford to anymore.”
Her Boys: “Ah yes my boys. A small select crew that seems to grow every few weeks or so. I help them with things and they help me. Nothing serious, just picking out presents for girlfriends, giving dating advice and helping with astronomy essays. I can’t help it if they end up in the Gryffindor Common Room or the Astronomy Tower...I’ll make sure they’re returned in the morning, I promise.”
Mirrors: “Mirrors show us how beautiful the world is. I love them. I have three in my dormitory and that’s not enough. My girls and I love mirrors and we all carry pocket mirrors just in case. I mean, you never know when you’ll end up covered in mud or a stray snowball. Yes ok, maybe I’m a tiny bit vain, but if I don’t try with my appearance, no one will think I’m beautiful.”
Murtagh: “My dearest brother. He means the world to me. Tag is such a great person. He’s always looking out for me in that super cute big brother way. I know he’s involved with the Death Eaters, but he keeps me out of all that. I don’t want to be involved in it anyway. I’d much rather extend my influence than hunt people down because of their blood status. He’s keeping our secret from everyone, that we’re not really halfbloods.”
Fish: “I love fish. Not to eat but just to watch. I could never bring myself to eat a fish, they’re just too wonderful. I know, it may seem strange. I mean, not many people like watching fish, but I do. I could sit for hours watching my two fish, Merlin and Morgana, swimming around their fish bowl. I find it very relaxing. It clears my mind, just watching them. Sometimes I talk to them too, but don’t tell anybody! I wish I could bring them to Hogwarts but I’m afraid someone would hurt them.”
School: “I love school. I love lessons. I love homework. I know it’s strange but I really do. Despite loving school though, I’m not the best. Usually if someone says they like school, they’re top in all of their lessons, they’re in Ravenclaw. But I like school because of the people and because of Astronomy. I love the thought that there might be life out there in space. Maybe one day I’ll find it. If I wasn’t a witch, I’d be an Astronomer.”
Paris: “Paris is an amazing city. I love spending my holidays wandering from cafe to cafe, maybe stopping at an art gallery in the afternoon before heading to the Ballet in the evening. I have my fondest memories of growing up in this city and that is something that will never leave me. The language is beautiful, the people amazing, and the shopping, oh the shopping, it’s exquisite.”
Hugs: “Hugs have the power to change the world. I’m a firm believer. They make you feel warm and soft inside. It’s a truly great feeling. I love giving hugs to my girls and my brother, but of course I prefer to receive them, especially from certain boys.”
Bed: “I love my bed. It’s so comfy. I often find it difficult getting out of it in the morning. Especially if it’s raining. There’s nothing more relaxing than lying in bed listening to the rain pattering overhead. I always make sure I make my bed every morning. I know this is a normal thing, but it is very important. It means everything is ready when I get into bed later. So as I said, I love my bed and I don’t mind sharing it.”
Dislikes:
Chocolate: “I really don’t like chocolate. I know it’s weird but I just don’t like it. The thought of stuffing my face with chocolate makes me feel ill. Anyone who buys me cheap chocolates always gets thrown out, or kicked out, whichever I’m in the mood for. I’d much prefer cheap flowers to expensive chocolates.”
Ugly People: “There are ugly people, then there are people who are called ugly but they are beautiful. The latter is extremely rare and an exception. But ugly people in general, I mean, no. Why would I want to spend time with them? Unless I wanted to make myself appear absolutely stunning. That’s a good idea actually. Maybe I should do that some time....no, I can’t bring myself to do that.”
Being Ill: “I hate being ill. There is nothing worse. You look horrible and everyone avoids you like the plague. It’s really unattractive, you feel awful all the time and then you give it to your closest friends so you’re all ill together. The only plus side is that sometimes a lovely person looks after you, tucks you into bed and brings you soup.”
Bullies: “You know who you are. It’s not big and it’s not clever, so leave me and my friends alone, or you’ll have the boys to deal with. You have been warned.”
Wimps: “Seriously man up, I mean, sheesh. People who are scared of the dark, of their own shadows and scary looking trees, grow up! You don’t even have a good reason to be afraid, it would be very different if you did, but you don’t so stop screaming the whole place down.”
Lying: “It’s really bad to lie and I hate doing it, but I have to. If anyone was to find out about Murtagh’s blood status lie, he’d be dead and I don’t want that. No one would. I’m protecting him by lying to everyone. But it’s not just that. I’m lying to myself. I’m not someone you’d want to be friends with, I’m damaged goods, a mind lost, I just have to hide that from everyone. Make everyone believe I am the girl who I say I am.”
The Colour Orange: “I don’t hate it....it’s just not an attractive colour. Not many people can wear orange well and I’m not one of them. It makes me look as white as a sheet and that’s really not a good look. I mean, bleh. Orange is one of those colours that cannot be found in my wardrobe.”
Peacocks: “Both the animal and the extravagant people that tend to flock around Hogwarts together laughing at all those lower than them. The animals are just a bit freaky if I’m honest. I mean, their wings are beautiful and it’s a beautiful pattern for a dress, but the birds themselves just stare at you, as if they can see into your soul. The people are to be avoided at all costs.”
Asking for directions: “It’s a very muggle thing I know, but I hate asking for directions. I can’t wait until I’m of age and I can just use a quick point me spell and we’ll be on our way. Back home, it’s like being a muggle. It makes me miss school even more.”
Jellybeans: “Bleurgh”
Fears:
Fire: “I’m not sure how to explain this one...I’m just terrified of fire. When I was younger I used to have nightmares about being trapped in the house or the dormitory with no way to get out. In those dreams I could never use magic, so I was just trapped there, waiting to burn to a crisp. I can sit by a fire, because they’re controlled, like in the common room for example. But bonfires, wild fires or unexpected fires are completely out of the question. I guess my biggest fear is being burned.”
Loss: “I’m afraid of losing everything, from my brother, to my boys and my family. I’m afraid of falling from grace, of everyone dying. It seems like a lot, but it’s really not. Everyone with a heart is afraid of losing their loved ones, it’s only natural.”
Becoming ugly: “Yes I’m vain, yes I know and I’m not afraid to admit it, but I am afraid of becoming ugly. Murtagh isn’t ugly, he’s handsome, but that’s because he’s my brother. Other people see him as disformed and ugly, I don’t want them to see me like that. More scars than I already have, burns, loss of limbs, just a change in the way I look now. I don’t want to change.”
Bankruptcy: “It’s so close and I don’t think I could bring myself to declare it. I have too much pride, we all do, but I fear one day we might have to, if Mother keeps spending more money than she could ever hope to have again.”
Being Alone: “I don’t want to be alone and I mean like in the long term, not short term. I don’t mind being alone for a bit. But this fear is me becoming isolated, with no one acknowledging that I exist. I don’t know why I’m afraid, I mean, it’s very unlikely, there will always be someone who will know I’m there, but still.”

Overall Personality:
Erin has surrounded herself with beautiful people and beautiful things in an attempt to cling onto what remains of her lavish lifestyle. She is vain, never passing by a mirror without fixing her hair or makeup. She likes to manipulate people without them knowing they are being manipulated. She charms people to get what she wants and often something more besides. She is fiercely loyal to her friends, lovers and others and can be very caring when out of the limelight. The public Erin Connolly, is an Irish pretty rich kid who has nothing better to do than to judge the appearances of others. When she is alone with her closest friends or boys, she is someone quite different. She can be bossy, domineering, but at other times she is shy, meek and can be reduced to a ball of giggles when her guard is completely down. She will defend those closest to her and help those in need if she deems they are worthy of her help. Deep down she is an insecure young girl, but no one except her brother Murtagh ever sees that side of her.

General History:
Erin Aoife Connolly was born in Dublin. She grew up in the Irish Countryside, spending most of her time with her brother, except for occasional shopping trips with her mother. It soon became apparent that Erin loved to be the centre of attention. She used to deliberately play up, or throw tantrums in the middle of supermarkets until she got what she wanted, which was usually Murtagh taking her chubby little hand in his and helping her to walk over to the toys. She was a spoilt toddler, having lots of different outfits, sometimes up to five a day. Her mother introduced her to being pretty from an early age and Erin could often be found trying on her mother's shoes, chunky necklaces and lipstick.
When she was five, the Connolly family moved across the sea to Brighton, where they now live. She settled in quickly, becoming accustomed to life by the sea. She loved to go down to the beach with Murtagh to build sandcastles and chase the birds that often landed on the beach. She enjoyed jumping into the photos of tourists on the beach before offering to take the photo for them.
Everything changed when Murtagh got his letter. A letter which introduced her to a whole new world she had never known to have existed. As soon as he disappeared off to school she wanted to join them. All she could think about was becoming a witch and getting her Hogwarts letter. Soon enough her letter arrived and she prepared herself to enter the Wizarding World.
Erin quickly made herself at home at Hogwarts, making friends with the girls who seemed the nicest, the ones who smiled and laughed all the time. She soon found herself at the centre of her own little group. As the years went by, the four girls stuck together through thick and thin, becoming almost like sisters, always there for each other, no matter what. Erin was always the most interested in boys and this still hasn't changed. She was fascinated by them and intrigued by their little quirks and faults.
Now in her sixth year, Erin is focusing on studying for her NEWTs next year, as well as having a whole lot of fun along the way. She's still keeping the secrets her brother told her to keep. With new paths and new friends, she's looking forward to ruling the school.
