To: The Lovely Sanya From: Stanislav Your brother is an overbearing, crabby, lazy arse who won't bother writing one more sentence in an owl that he's already posting.
And if you can't get the other one to stop singing that wretched song, I will hex him.

To: The Long-Suffering Stas From: Lexi I'm so glad that, like me, you know the real Alik. Others will just never understand.
Okay, okay: if he was just annoying Alik I might let him continue, but since he's making himself a public menace I'll shoot him a note; maybe it will hit him on the head and dislodge the song from where it's playing on loop.
So, have you heard that Alik and I will be gate-crashing your Christmas soirée? You're welcome. :)

To: The Lovely Sanya From: Stanislav On behalf of the entirety of Slytherin House, I thank you for intervening with Vanya. It will make exams much more bearable.
I did hear that you will be attending. Last year was absolutely unbearable without you both. I'm sure you will look stunning, as usual. That said, I hope you will allow me to make all of the other men jealous by saving your first dance for me. I would be most honored.

To: The Long-Suffering Stas From: Lexi No problem. As I told Alik, we Ravenclaws have to get all the real work done so you Slytherins can get your regular glory fix. ;)
I'm sorry we didn't get to make it last year; your Christmas gargoyle of a best friend made the mistake of giving Father an ultimatum, and it just went downhill from there. This year, however, our parents have acquiesced to their favorite child's request and have no problem letting us go. Getting them to eliminate the condition of Vanya going as well took a bit more sacrifice, but a first edition collection of Dickens is well worth making your Christmas a relatively peaceful one.
I'll do my best to live up to your lofty expectations. (Did you know Alik called me Quasimodo? The nerve!) And you shall certainly have my first dance: I'll save your spot on my dance card.
