Your image here [/img] ✶ O H, W R I T T E N I N T H E S T A R S A M I L L I O N M I L E S A W A Y "Detention Connelly!"
Those words were something that Murtagh was used to over the years he been in hogwarts. He doesn't get detention often, but just enough to cause the teachers an headache. This time, of course, he did probably the worse he could do.
The detention was suppose to be something simple but then turned into an all out yelling argument. He yelled at the Astronomy teacher, complaining that he/she didn't know jack-swat about the stars. He got into a huge temper with the teacher, and by the end of the conversation he ended up throwing a curse and a hex in the teachers direction. It took three students to pull him back, all slytherin mind you being they're the only brave ones.
And that is how he landed in trophy cleaning duty. Cursing himself, Murtagh had his hands on his hips. He stared at the trophy in front of him growling a bit at how many gryffindor ones there was. Man did he hate his house! Why couldn't he been a snake?
Bitterly, he grabbed the cleaning spray and roughly cleaned the bothersome thing. This wasn't what he planned! He had to reschedule all of his clients...and that severely pissed him off. At least...he wasn't alone right? Speaking of which, where was that other student who was joining him? "detention, weasley!"
so rosie wasn't exactly the queen of dententions or anything, but she did get her fair share of them. after all, she had a tendency to blew up half the school with her shoddy wandwork, something her teachers swore wasn't their fault.
in fact, that's what'd landed her there this time. she'd blown up the potions professor's prize cauldron after accidentally aiming her wand incorrectly. thank god she'd be quitting school after this next year. she didn't think she could survive her seventh.
of course, she'd been assigned to clean the trophies in the trophy room, her least favorite activity. of course, it was better than writing lines, considering there was usually little to no supervision and it was thus far more entertaining. but she was running late on her way to the detention. as usual. it seemed she really could never be on time. rosie hoped the student she'd be doing detention with wouldn't mind the late nature of her arrival.
and with that exact thought, she pushed through the door to the trophy room, stopping in the frame and observing the boy already hard at work cleaning. she was a tad short of breath and her hair was a bit crazy, but she supposed she'd already messed up first impressions by being late.
but then she realized that the boy sitting in front of her was none other than murtagh connelly, a boy in her year who she actually knew quite well. flashing him a smile, she pushed her hair out of her face and greeted him, "funny how we always meet this way, isn't it?" she asked, an eyebrow raised. after all, the first time she'd met him had been in a detention.

Turning his head in the direction, he was ready to yell at the student but paused in seeing who it was. A miss Rosie Weasley of all people. Now that was interesting. He raised an eyebrow at her appearance, before simply handing her a rag. "I suppose you can say that. What did you do this time Rosie?" He questioned quietly.
The two had a very strange friendship. She was a sweet girl, but also with a temper and little out there so thats why he liked her. And he got along with her also for she was a hufflepuff, not a gryffindor. Another perk. He waited until she took the rag, before he went back to cleaning the trophy in his lap, still not amused by having to do cleaning duty.
"Had to be pretty bad, and not simply setting someones cape on fire." He added, giving a light chuckle as he raised an eyebrow in her direction. ✶A N D I'L L F I N D M Y W A Y✶ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------Tags: Rosie! ------Notes: detention?!~ ------Outfit: beautiful no? ------Word Count: that many ------Template made by: Koney of Caution 2.0

she took the rag from him, settling down next to him and starting on cleaning one of the badges. "something bad," she responded, a cheeky smile on her face. she wished she'd done something a bit more badass to get into detention. but her reasons for detentions were always so stupid; she felt like an idiot.
"blew up professor billing's favorite cauldron," she finally answered, biting her lip as she tried not to laugh. "and i wish i could say it was some sort of 'stick-it-to-the-man' kind of thing, but it wasn't. just some shoddy wand work." she let a laugh spill over her lips.
after all, murtagh wasn't a bad guy. sure, he wasn't what you'd normally expect out of a gryffindor, and she'd heard him say on multiple occasions that he didn't really think he belonged there, but he really was a nice guy, once you got down to it. a tad on the odd side of things, but really genuinely nice. and he wasn't bad-looking either.
"what about you?" she asked, turning the question around.

Your image here [/img] ✶ O H, W R I T T E N I N T H E S T A R S A M I L L I O N M I L E S A W A Y Murtagh softly laughed as he listened to her reason for coming here, pausing in his cleaning. He turned his head to look at her, arm resting on his knee. She did that? "Still, thats pretty awesome. It'll take him awhile to repair that. Great job my dear, even if it was just poor wand work." He admitted, chuckling softly.
He leaned back, stretching his legs out as he finished the trophy and took down one of the badges. He stared at the names, sighing a little in reply. Some day, he'll be this famous. "Oh I got into an argument with the astronomy professor. A whole major blow out sort of thing. My temper got the best of me and I probably almost would of hurt the teacher if a few snakes didn't stop me. Its a given." A mere shrug escaped his shoulders showing how he didn't mind. Detention was detention.
Murtagh began to slowly clean the name on the badge in slow careful movements. He handled it with care, for it was a hufflepuff person. "I haven't seen you for a while Rosie. How is everything? Going well?" He questioned, wanting to keep the conversation going. Silence was not a friend.

she shrugged. "it'll probably take him forever," she answered, breathing on a badge to shine it properly. "it pretty much blew it to smithereens." she couldn't help but smile; the potions professor had never been her favorite person in the world. "not my best work, but i suppose it'll have to do, right?"
her eyes widened slightly at his answer. rosie personally didn't know why he'd gotten in a fight with the astronomy professor of all people. after all, professor sinistra, although she was old, had always been one of rosie's favorites. "some slytherins pulled you back? shouldn't they have been joining in themselves?" she joked. she knew murtagh didn't mind slytherins, and rosie didn't either. one of her best friends was a slytherin. but they were often far more trouble in a fight than they were any help.
she furrowed her brow at his question. "not as well as i should be doing, i suppose," she answered. "things haven't been going all that well lately." she paused, wondering how much she should tell him. after all, even if they were friends, they'd never been particularly close. and maybe that was her problem. maybe she'd been talking to all the wrong people. perhaps she should get murtagh's opinion on her current situation.
"my boyfriend and i just broke up. and i think i'm dropping out of school after this year." she gave him a tired smile. "got anything to beat that?" she asked. it was her own little way of asking how his life was going. my my, she was getting far too cynical lately, wasn't she?

Your image here [/img] ✶ O H, W R I T T E N I N T H E S T A R S A M I L L I O N M I L E S A W A Y Murtagh leaned back on his hands looking at her direction in reply. "Not your greatest, no. But its a start. Your slowly starting to become a detention expert you know. At least you haven't dumped paint on anyones heads." He replied with a bitter look, thinking of that gryffindor vampire's antics. He didn't understand him.
He laughed though in agreement. "I was quite surprise myself, well after I snapped out of the rage hazy anyway. I didn't expect them to stop me. But it was later they told me they wouldn't have my help to practice with later so I suppose that was the only reason they stopped me. And I think they stopped me in time before I got expelled or something another." He admitted, laying on his back.
He stared upwards at the dull ceiling, at the lines of trophys that the school gained. It was impressive, yes, but it wasn't too nice. He listened to her words, frowning a bit at what she said. Now that was upsetting. Twisting his head, he looked at her direction, resting a hand on her knee. "Rosie, everyone has problems. Like me. Come on, you'll find another boy, there's plenty of them. Perhaps you'll get back together with an ex? There are choices for you my dear. Dropping out? You really want to go that far? I mean...why? You won't see your friends again for awhile...and you won't graduate. Sadly, I don't have anything to beat that. Well, if you call almost getting thrown off the team for the last match of year bad then maybe?" He questioned glancing at her. ✶A N D I'L L F I N D M Y W A Y✶ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------Tags: Rosie! ------Notes: detention?!~ ------Outfit: beautiful no? ------Word Count: that many ------Template made by: Koney of Caution 2.0

she grinned. "well, i don't think i'll ever be an expert persay, but i try," she answered. "besides, if all detentions included the great murtagh connelly, i might try a bit harder." she gave him a wink.
she frowned a bit. "you really could've gotten expelled, couldn't you? jesus, perhaps you should be a tad more careful, connelly," she answered. for some reason, she never really used his first name when she talked to him. to her, it didn't fit him as well as his last name did.
"i know, i know. i'll find someone else. doesn't make losing the last one any easier, does it?" she asked. it was odd that she was discussing this with him of all people. she'd never really thought that he'd be the guy she'd have a heart to heart with. but maybe he understood more than she thought he would. turning to look at him, she couldn't help but smile. "or perhaps i'll find someone new?"
at his questioning, she was reminded of how teddy had reacted when she'd told him. "cuz i'm never going to amount to anything, even if i do stay in school. so what's the point of wasting another year here?" she answered, a tad bit of frustration in her voice. why could everyone else believe in her when she couldn't do it herself? why did they think she was meant for such great things when she could barely do a simple levitation spell?
she laughed. "what'd you do to deserve that? get in a fight wiht the captain?"

Murtagh glanced over at her at her frown, before back upwards at the ceiling. She was right there. He could of gotten expelled and that would of gave his parents a fit! He chuckled, dragging himself back to sit upwards, grabbing another badge from the case. He glanced at the name, taking the cloth from the floor."Yah, I probably could of gotten expelled, and that would be something. A gryffindor getting expelled from Hogwarts. I don't think even I could stand that...even if I do hate my house. If I get expelled, then no more Qudditch." He remarked, slowly cleaning off the dust and grime.
He smiled at her direction, surprise she was telling him all of this. He was, after all, just a player. He wasn't really into relationships...sort of."Someone new huh? Do you have someone in mind?" He questioned glancing at her.
He laughed bitterly. A fight with the captain...what else was knew? "You know how Lestrange and I don't see I too I. And yes...I did get into another fight with him. I distrupted another pratice and he finally got fed up. He also seemed to get a little annoyed that I was arguing with him over being captain or vice next year. I really do deserve that spot...Hes picking favorites." ✶A N D I'L L F I N D M Y W A Y✶ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------Tags: Rosie! ------Notes: color codes. >> ------Outfit: beautiful no? ------Word Count: that many ------Template made by: Koney of Caution 2.0
